PHYSICIAN'S CLINIC STAFF

Russell Ebke, M.D. is a native of Nebraska who grew up on a farm near Daykin. After graduating from Fairbury High School, he went to college at Nebraska Wesleyan and then to Medical School at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following the completion of his training, he spent 5 years in the Navy and is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He returned to Nebraska in 1995 and has practiced in Crete at the Crete Medical Center since that time.

Robert Tuma, M.D. was raised in Crete, Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical School in Omaha in 1974. Dr. Tuma completed his family practice residency and internship at UNMC and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He has been practicing medicine in Crete since 1978. Dr. Tuma currently serves as the Medical Director of the Crete Area Medical Center Physician's Clinic and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. He is on the Crete Area Health Care Foundation board and the Medical Director of the Wilber Care Center.

Kate Hesser, M.D., a native Nebraskan, Kate grew up in Fairbury, Nebraska. After graduating from Fairbury High School, Kate completed her undergraduate work at Chadron State College and her medical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Hesser completed her Family Practice Residency in UNMC's Rural Training program at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Dr. Hesser is married to Dr. Jason Hesser, who also practices at CAMC. The Hessers moved to Crete in the summer of 2009.

Jason Hesser, M.D. was raised near Hickman, Nebraska and is a graduate of Norris High School. After high school, he attended Chadron State College where he met his wife, Dr. Kate Hesser. Both Hessers attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed their Family Practice Residency in UNMC's Rural Training program at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Dr. Hesser is currently a member of the Nebraska National Guard and was deployed to Iraq in the Fall of 2009.

Tammy Schroeder, APRN-C joined the medical staff at Crete Area Medical Center-Physician Clinic in March 2008. Tammy graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1994. Her nursing background includes Cardiology and Pediatrics specialties. Tammy graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner in 2002. Tammy and her family have been residents of Crete since 1999.

Kurt Schmeckpeper, PA-C, AT-C is a northeast Nebraska native, originally from Pender, Nebraska. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine and Physiology from Wayne State College and completed his sports medicine internship at the elite International Sports Institute and Bollettieri Sports Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Kurt earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Dakota in 2007. He has had the opportunity to practice in an orthopedic clinic, an urgent care facility and work with a wide range of athletes from high school and college to professional baseball and arena football teams. Kurt joined the CAMC team in 2008.

Russ Coash, PA-C completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology at UNL. After graduating from UNL, he completed a graduate level study course on autoimmune disease mechanisms, and took two semesters of graduate level pharmacology at UNMC. Russ received a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from UNMC in 2000. He is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Mary Sincebaugh, APRN-C returned to Nebraska with her family in 1980. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1985 and her Master's in Nursing in 1996. Mary has worked in emergency nursing and taught critical care courses. As a Nurse Practitioner, she has focused on positions in cardiology and emergency care.

Ellajean Bledsoe, PA-C, BHS, MPAS earned her Bachelor's in Nursing in 1993 and her Master's with an emphasis in emergency medicine in 2001 from Wichita State University. She practiced for 10 years in Atchison in a rural health care family practice setting and in the emergency room before moving to Nebraska. Ellajean holds a part time position with the Crete Area Medical Center serving in several capacities including overseeing cardiac stress testing, covering ER call and occasional clinic assignments.
